Graduates who are part of the GM family
01. Why did you choose the Business Applications Academy by Global Mediator and Microsoft tech stack in general?
For me, it was a life direction change. Before the Academy, I worked in the restaurant sector. Soon enough I understood that I was young and full of energy. I had all my life ahead of me, so I decided to try my hand at programming and work in IT. I chose the Academy on advice from my relative – Petro, a long-time developer at Global Mediator. I already had a certain experience in accounting and billing since I had worked with financial documentation.
In general, an IT company was where I wanted to work. IT is a possibility to work from anywhere in the world regardless of the circumstances. I noticed the announcement about launching the Business Applications Academy at Global Mediator, and I decided to apply. Before the Academy, I worked with MS Dynamics AX. It was a similar work experience and tasks’ logic to those I currently work with.
02. How interesting and accessible was the information that our speakers shared?
I really loved the tech info shared by the mentors. We had meetings twice a week, we also had home tasks. The Academy turned out to be a good starting point, it gave me the possibilities and skills to search for the answers myself. During the training, you start understanding your own logic of writing the code. And when the code works, you cannot believe that it is real, and it worked out!
The mentors were really cool, the information was accessible. I am sincerely grateful to the mentors who did their best to spell out the information for each of us.
03. Did the Academy meet your expectations?
Yes, it did. I got the job offer from the company, later I joined a team on one of the projects.
What I hoped for was a job in an IT company. I wanted to successfully finish the training and get to know MS Business Central.
04. Would you recommend the Academy to your friends and relatives?
I already did. A friend of mine is now a student at Global Mediator’s Academy, series two.
I am recommending it – to everyone I know. So that they have more opportunities to improve their financial well-being (as well as mental health).
