Software suppliers know that developing a solution is time consuming and costly. They also know that the cost of implementing and training an entire organization on new tools and processes can be the most costly part of migrating to a new ERP system. And yet, in many events they are quite willing to hand over the responsibility for making the users love the new solution to internal super users.
For decades larger organizations have correctly understood that for a solution to be a success it should be easy to get started, easy to learn and easy to use. For cost reasons they also realized that training should ideally be delivered remotely through electronic performance support systems. What few realize is that this is now also possible for much smaller organizations and it only cost about a good cup of coffee per user per month if they do it right.
